Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) is a chronic disease involving the loss of central vision that is important for reading and color perception. It is the leading cause of blindness in people 60 and older.

Symptoms:

    •Wavy Lines
    •Faded Colors
    •Blind Spots
    •Visual Distortions

Early detection and treatment is extremely important! Our new Zeiss Cirrus High-Definition OCT takes 3-D images of the macula down to the cellular level to find the earliest signs of macular degeneration.
